BEREAVEMENT FUNERAL SERVICE IN HONOUR OF GOGO ALICE CHIKOMO

TO ALL IN THE UPCSA

 

The funeral service in honour of Gogo Alice Chikomo will be held on Saturday 2 October 2021 according to the following details:

  1. The body will be picked from Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour, Herbert Chitepo at 08:30 straight to City Presbyterian Church.
  2. The service at City Presbyterian Church will start at 09:00.
  3. Depart for Warren Hills at 12:00.
  4. Burial at Warren Hills at 13:00.

 

There are good prospects that the serviced may be streamed live.

 

We continue to pray for the Chikomo family and the Presbytery of Zimbabwe as they prepare and conduct this service. To God be the glory.

BEREAVEMENT Mrs Joyce Mchunu, the wife of the Revd Mchunu

TO ALL IN THE UPCSA

 

With deep sadness, I hereby announce the passing away of Mrs Joyce Mchunu, the wife of the Revd Felix Dumisani Mchunu on Sunday afternoon, 8 August 2021. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Her funeral service will be held at Ofafa Location, Ixopo, KwaZulu Natal on Friday, the 13th of August 2021 at 09:00 in strict observance of the COVID-19 protocols.

 

Let us uphold the Rev FD Mchunu, his family and the Ernest Ntuli Memorial Congregation, in Ladysmith, uThukela Presbytery where the Rev Mchunu is a minister.

Mr Shadrack Modise – Session Clerk to St Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Sharpeville

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing away of Mr Shadrack Modise, a former teacher, school inspector, Elder,  and Session Clerk to St Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Sharpeville.  Mr Modise is also a former Clerk of Presbytery and Commissioner to General Assembly. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

 

The funeral arrangements will be communicated as soon as they are finalised. Please pray for the Modise family an the St Paul’s Congregation.

Bereavement Rev Sipho Ncapayi

The funeral service of the Rev Sipho Ncapayi will take place according to the following arrangements:

Date: Tuesday 13 July 2021

Time and Place: 08:00 Prayer at home and proceed to the church. (Home address: 35 More Street, Phomolo Section, KwaThema.

Time and Place: 09:00 Service at the Church (Subject to permission granted by the SAPS to use the church for the service. If the permission is not granted, the service will take place at home)

Church Address: Rapodile UPCSA, Rapodile Street, KwaThema

Further details will be communicated in due course. The family appointed the Rev Zwai Mtyhobile to be responsible for all the communications. Please refer any enquiry to Zwai. Let us continue to pray for the family to gain strength, peace and comfort.

The remains will be laid to rest at his home in Zimbabwe on a date to be announced in due course.

Rev v. Mkhungo and Rev Dr L. Mpetsheni

Warm Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Presbytery of Trans-Xhariep in consultation with the Mhike’s family and General Assembly office officially announce that the Late Rev Patrick Simon Mhike will be buried in his home country, Zimbabwe sometime next week. The funeral service will be conducted in South Africa and the Lay to rest service will be conducted in Zimbabwe.

Funeral service will be arranged as follows:

Date: 22 June 2021

Venue: Bothaville, St. Andrews, Kgotsong Presbyterian Church.

Time: 10:00am – 12:00 pm

Attendance: 100 per outside as per lockdown level 3 regulations

We are working on making virtual and streamline connections available for those who cannot attend to be part of the proceedings. The links for virtual connections will be shared later.

We pray to God to give us strength as we prepare the final service of this great servant of God. We will miss his humility, sense of humour, commitment and love for his church. May His soul rest in eternal peace.

Bereavement – Rev Reuben Daka

It is with a deep sense of shock and sadness to announce the sudden passing away of the Rev Reuben Daka at University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka this morning around 07:10. He was admitted at the hospital yesterday after a short illness. May his soul rest in eternal peace. The funeral service arrangements will be communicated in due course.

 

The Rev Daka was a minister to Kaunda Square Congregation within the Presbytery of M’chinga, Zambia. Please uphold in your prayers his wife, Dorothy, his family and the Congregation.

Bereavement Mrs. Dikeledi Maphoto, Elder and UPWW member at Mamelodi Gardens

Good day!

I regret to inform you of the sad passing on of Mrs. Dikeledi Maphoto, Elder and UPWW member at Mamelodi Gardens UPCSA, on Wednesday 09th.

The burial is on Saturday 19th. At the old Atteridgeville cemetery. (funeral service at M/Gardens Church starting at 07.30—09.00hrs.

 

Please keep the Maphoto family and relatives in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time of grief and loss of their beloved mother.
