Rev Gladwin Phenya

It is with deep sadness to inform you about the passing on of Rev Gladwin Phenya early this morning (Sunday 20 December 2020). The Rev Phenya has been in and out of hospital due to ill health. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

 

The Rev Phenya was a minister emeritus within the Presbytery of the Central Cape. He is a past moderator of the General Assembly. The funeral arrangements will be announced, as soon as they become available. Please uphold Mama Georgina and family in your prayers.

Bereavement – Mrs Peggy Hawkridge – widow of the late John Hawkridge

MRS PEGGY HAWKRIDGE

Mrs Peggy Hawkridge passed away. Peggy was the widow of the late John Hawkridge, former Moderator of General Assembly of the PCSA. She passed away on Wednesday morning, 4th September 2019, at her retirement frail-care in Somerset West. She had been frail and ill for some time.

The funeral will take place on Monday 9 September at 11am at Somerset West United.

Please keep the Donaldson familiy in your thoughts and prayers and we send them our sincere condolences.

Bereavement – MRS BETTY BAX, WIFE OF DOUG BAX, PASSED AWAY.

MRS BETTY BAX, WIFE OF DOUG BAX, PASSED AWAY.

Please keep the Rev Doug Bax in your thoughts and prayers as we received the very sad news that his wife Bettie passed away this morning. She has been very ill for a long period of time. Betty was resident within the Presbytery of the Western Cape.

The funeral arrangements will be communicated when finalized.

We send our sincere condolences to Doug and his family and pray that the Lord our God will uphold them and give them the strength and courage they need to deal with their loss.

Bereavement Wife of Rev C Moore’s mother has passed away

13th August 2019

Please keep the Rev Chris and his wife Kim Moore in your thoughts and prayers as we have received the very sad news that his mother-in-law, Maureen Neil, passed away on the 8th August 2019 from leukemia. She was an Elder at Highveld Presbyterian Church in Tshwane, and recently a member at Saints Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will take place on Saturday 17th August 2019 at Saints Presbyterian Church within the Presbytery of Tshwane.

We pray that the Lord our God will be with the whole family and their friends and give them our sincere condolences. May God give them strength and courage as they deal with their loss.

We have just been advised that Rev Caroline Hlati’s brother, Malixole Mngenela passed away. Rev Hlati resides within the bounds of the East Griqualand Presbytery.
