DETAILS OF THE FUNERAL SERVICES – MAMA NKOSI AND MAMA THEMA

Please receive the details of the funeral services as follows:

 

  1. The funeral service of Mrs Nkosi (Wife of the Rev MLS Nkosi) will be held at Mpolweni, Pietermaritzburg, Drakensberg Presbytery on Saturday, 30th January 2021 at 09:00.
  2. The funeral service of  Mama Thema (Mother of Rev Robert Thema) will be held at Ga-Mamabolo, Donhill Church, Limpopo Presbytery on  Saturday, 30th January 2021 from 07:00 to 09:00.

Bereavements: DEATH NOTICES: WIFE OF THE LATE REV PONS, MOTHER OF REV ROBERT THEMA AND HUSBAND OF MRS SOKUTU

TO ALL IN THE UPCSA

It is indeed with deep sadness that we communicate the following bereavements that we received notices of over the weekend:

  1. Mrs Doreen Pons, the wife of the late Rev Edwin Pons passed away over the weekend. She died at the age of 91 years. The family is planning a private family arrangement for her sending off. Mrs Pons was resident within the Presbytery of the Central Cape.
  2. The Rev Robert Thema lost his mother on Saturday. Funeral service arrangements will be announced as soon as they become available. Rev R M Thema is a minister to St Silas Congregation (Evaton),  Lekoa Presbytery.
  3. Mrs Sokutu lost her husband on Saturday. Funeral service arrangements will be announced as soon as they become available. Mrs Sokutu is the Clerk of Amathole Presbytery.

We convey our deepest condolences to all the bereaved families. We pray that the souls of the departed may rest in eternal peace. Let us continue to uphold them in our prayers.

BEREAVEMENT Mr Ernie Williams Sally Langerman’s father

TO ALL IN THE UPCSA

 

Please keep the family of the Rt Rev Dr Peter and Mrs Sally Langerman in your prayers at this time. Sally’s father, Mr Ernie Williams, went home to be with the Lord this morning.  Ernie, and his late wife, Val were Managers of Simonsberg, our UPCSA Conference Centre in Stellenbosch and before that also Managers at Camp Jonathan in Eston, for many years.

 

Give thanks for his life, and the way God used him to bless many others through his ministry at the various campsites. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family through this time of grief and loss. May our Heavenly Father bring great comfort and peace.

Mama Evodia Letsheleha, the mother of the Rev Tieho Letsheleha

TO ALL IN THE UPCSA

 

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing on of Mama Evodia Letsheleha, the mother of the Rev Tieho Letsheleha and Mrs Matshediso Piroe in the afternoon of Saturday 16 January 2021, after she had been admitted at a hospital on Friday 15 January 2021. Funeral details will be announced in due course. May her soul rest in peace

Rev Letseleha is a minister of Moletsane Presbyterian, within eGoli Presbytery. Mrs Piroe is a student for UPCSA ministry and is a member of SAINTS Congregation, within Tshwane Presbytery. Let us please uphold the family  in prayer.

NOTICE OF DEATH: REV XX VATHELA

Greetings in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

1. It is with unfathomable sadness to inform you of the passing on of one of our Ministers the Rev
Xolisa Xolani Vathela, a Minister to JZS Ncevu Memorial Congregation, Queenstown.

2. Rev Vatela was called to Higher Service in the night of Monday the 18 th of January 2021 after a
short illness.

3. Further details will be provided once they are available.

4. It is requested that we hold Mrs Zoleka Vatela and family Vatela in prayers and that we support
them in every way possible during their difficult time.

BEREAVEMENT Mrs Mmathabo Chimeloane

With deep sadness, I hereby announce the passing on of Mrs Mmathabo Chimeloane,  Rev Professor Maake Masango’s sister on Wednesday 13th January 2021 at her home in Pretoria. The funeral service took place on Saturday 16th January 2021. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Bereavement NOTICE OF DEATH: MISS NOLUBABALO TOKO – REV AND MRS TOKO’S DAUGHTER

Dear Rev Mkhungo,
Greetings in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Chris, and compliments of the Season.
1. It is with sadness to inform you that one of our Ministers, the Reverend Malusi Toko has
lost her daughter, Nolubabalo Toko.
2. Nolubabalo was admitted to hospital on Saturday the 2 nd of January 2021 having
complained of feeling weak. She passed on in the early hours of today, the 5 th of
January 2021.
3. Further details will be provided once they are available.
4. The Rev Toko and his wife, Mama Nomvuyo Toko, can be contacted on 063 486 0416 /

1. The 5 January 2021 correspondence regarding passing on of Miss Nolubabalo Toko
refers.
2. Kindly be updated as follows:
2.1 The family is now ready to receive visitors from tomorrow Saturday, the 9 th of
January 2021 onwards.
2.2 Nolubabalo’s interment will take place as follows:
Date: Tuesday the 12 th of January 2021 at 08h00
Venue: Dikidikana Cemetery, Dikidikana Location, outside King William’s Town
2.3 The interment will be followed by a short service starting at 09h00 at the Toko
Residence, Dikidikana Location.
3. May we continue to hold the Toko family in prayers at this difficult time.

Bereavement Rev Harry Mokgohloa

It is with deep sadness to announce the death of the Rev Harry Mokgohloa this morning (8 January 2021). May his soul rest in eternal peace. Rev Mokgohloa was a Minister Emeritus and a member of William Samson Memorial Congregation within the Presbytery of Limpopo.

Merium Mamabolo

Dear Presbytery

It is with great sadness and grief to inform you about the passing on of our beloved sister and congregant Ms Merium Mamabolo from Thumedi Makgahlela Congregation.
Ous Merium passed on at Kalafong Hospital after a short illness and will be buried on Saturday the 2nd January 2021. 
The procession will leave home at 10am for Lotus Gardens in Atteridgeville.
Please let us commit the Mamabolos in our prayers during these hard and difficult times.
